Match Report
Bilton Grange Boys-U11B vs  Milton Keynes Prep School
On: Wednesday, 09 Oct 2019
Venue: at Home

After a few days of wet weather, the pitches were perfect for the BG boys to host Milton Keynes. The first half began with both teams very keen to show the supporters what they had picked up from training and putting it into a game. The BG boys held their own for the first quarter with keeping Milton Keyenes off of the try line, but the first try was scored by Milton Keynes when they broke through the strong game line and put the ball over the line.

A great pass from Arran aided the BG boys to get on the score board when Harry broke through their game line after fending off two defenders. With heads held high, they went into the rest of the game with encouraging words to each other and to the opposition. Some amazing runs were made by both teams to the extent that they made the basic attacking skills look like second nature to them. One prime example of this is when Elijah caught the ball from a kick off and made it to the other end of the pitch, until a Milton Keynes player caught up with him and got the both Elijah and the ball off of the pitch.

Unfortunately, the Milton Keynes defence proved to be very effective against the BG boys attacking skills and finished the game with 5 tries against our 1 try. Both coaches agreed that both teams put up a great competition and created a very interesting performance for all those supporters who came to the pitch side.
