Match Report
Bilton Grange Girls-U11B vs  Spratton Hall School
On: Saturday, 28 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

On Saturday, we welcomed Spratton Hall to BG for our first set of home games of the season.

We centrally timed both the A and B matches so the coaches could have some valuable in-put at half-time!

In the first half, the BG girls started brightly and fought hard for the ball. The shape and movement of the team was good in places and Isabella Kettell led from the front, working hard both on and off the ball. All of girls were committed and strong in the tackle and whilst both teams had their opportunities to score, it was BG that took their chance. A really strong drive from Isabella Kettell on the left hand side saw the ball threaded to Kate Castle who coolly slotted past the Spratton Hall goal keeper. It was a lovely passage of hockey which proved to be the decisive moment in the whole game.

With a large squad of players, we ensured that all the girls had some pitch time by rotating them all and they can be proud of their contributions to the team.

The final result ended with BG winning 1-0. Isabella Kettell was chosen as player of the match by the opposition.

A pleasing result. Well done.
