Match Report
Bilton Grange Girls-U11A vs  Spratton Hall School
On: Saturday, 28 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

On Saturday, we welcomed Spratton Hall to BG for our first set of home games of the season.

We centrally timed both the A and B matches so the coaches could have some valuable input at half-time!

In the first half, Spratton Hall played strongly through the middle and they moved the ball well. The BG girls were guilty of chasing the game and ball and not holding their shape which Spratton capitalised on. It saw four goals rattle in before half-time.

At the break, we talked about shape, composure both on and off the ball and driving towards the Spratton Hall D. It was great to see the girls lift their heads and start to move the ball around and play hockey. There were some moments of flowing hockey and the team can be proud of their second half performance. Isabella Skene was solid and dependable in defence, Mia Brander ran tirelessly in the midfield and Lara Gonzalez-Lee was threatening up front.

There is still a lot to look forward to this season for this group of girls and even though the overall result wasn't what we wanted, huge positives can be taken from their second half of hockey.
